Biographical History
Ella Marie (Ellaree) Howard was born September 13, 1924, and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. During her time at college in Logan, Utah, she chose to defer her education to join the Navy branch of the WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service). She mainly worked as a secretary in the Navy Legal Department in Washington, D.C. After her release in 1946, she married Bill Howard, who she was engaged to throughout her service. They graduated from the University of Idaho together, raised four children, and lived in Montana, Washington, and Utah. She passed away on March 11, 2020
