Biographical / Historical

From the Collection:

Douglas Earl Bush was born in Montana on March 1, 1947, to Joe and Phyllis Bush. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Brigham Young University in 1972 and 1974. He joined the music faculty there in 1978, and later received his doctoral degree from University of Texas at Austin in 1982. Douglas Earl Bush was a concert organist, composer, and scholar of organ-building history and organ builders. He died October 4, 2013, in Utah.
