Biographical History

Mark V. Pickett was born on July 24, 1926, in Gunnison, Utah. He married his wife, Naomi, when he was seventeen and she was sixteen. After he graduated from high school, he was drafted into the U.S. Army during the tail end of World War II. He was sent to the Philippines for most of his service. He and his wife had two daughters, one of which was born while he was away. He worked in farming and in city maintenance for Gunnison City. His wife passed away in March 2010. He passed away in January 2017.
