File includes a transcription of the journal from Sergeant Frederick LeRoy Davis. His journal details the times of his military service in the Spanish-American War. File also includes photographs relating to his life and military service. The photographs include a photograph of Sergeant Davis in military uniform with his bride-to-be, Rhoda Ann Gibbons, photographs of Davis during military training in the St. John's Militia and a photograph of Sergeant Davis with other members of his infantry regiment. Dated 1898-1899.
