letter from Lalande in London to Mme. Dupiery in Paris on August, 7, 1788. Lalande writes about a meeting with Prince Calvarizo who is arriving straight from Holland. However because of the state of his cabinent, everything has been delayed. He had planned to leave to Portsmouth then to Richmond around the 20th to the 22nd, however he was not able to leave. Lalande claims that astronomy takes all moments.
