Typescript of an interview with Oral B. Birch, conducted by Ben Bahlmann on January 15, 2000 in Sandy, Utah. Birch tells about joining the Army Air Corps, his training as a pilot, his experiences in combat during raids over Europe, and being shot down and captured by the Germans.

Biographical / Historical

Oral B. Birch was born in Bingham Canyon, Utah, in 1924. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He trained as a pilot, and was shot down and captured by the Germans.
