Scope and Contents

Contains genealogical notes, correspondence, and other items of Paul Hayhurst. Most of the material consists of correspondence with his cousin, Dr. Emery R. Hayhurst (also notes on relatives in the American branch of the Hayhurst family, and a copy of one of Emery's articles), dated 1905-1938.

Also included are letters from various other Hayhurst relatives (Alfred, John, Charles Orlando, Walter F., D.P., Rachel), dated 1906-1938; as well as items from the Historical Society of Pennsylvania (or departments thereof) regarding the ship on which the Hayhursts and William Penn originally emigrated (the Welcome). Arrangement
