Biographical History

Charles "Doc" William Edmonds was born October 20, 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from high school in 1946. He joined the Air Force during the Korean War and trained in the use of electronics. Edmonds eventually became a tail gunner's assistant on the B-25 and B-24. He served on various United States bases. In 1951, he married Shirley Yardley. After leaving the air force, Edmonds worked for Martin Air Craft Co. in Baltimore, then went on to attend the University of Maryland, earning a degree in veterinary medicine. He taught pre-vet classes at Brigham Young University and opened a veterinary hospital in Orem, Utah.
