Scope and Contents
Contains family histories, scrapbooks, which include original ephemera and correspondence, and the autobiographies of Mildred Bennion Eyring and Helen Bennion Barker. Also contains transcriptions of the Bennion family journals and correspondence, a photocopy of a handwritten list of the Bennion family members written in 1900, and photocopies of a journal ledger and other correspondence. Materials dated approximately 1842-1981.

Biographical / Historical
The Bennion Family was established in 1842 at the marriage of John Bennion (1820-1877) and Esther Wainwright (1817-1902). They emigrated from England in 1842 and eventually settled in the Taylorsville, Utah, area where the family engaged in stockraising.
