Scope and Contents
Typescript of an interview with James H. Rickard conducted by Ben Bahlmann on November 21, 1999. The typescript was taken from audiocassettes which were retained by Bahlmann. Rickard talks about his training as a fighter pilot for P-47 aircraft during WWII. He also discusses his 73 combat missions which he flew over Germany and other parts of Europe.

Biographical / Historical
James H. Rickard was born in Wyoming. He served as a pilot for the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, training as a fighter pilot for P-47 aircraft. He was stationed in the European Theater. AS of 1999, he was a resident of Provo, Utah.
