Biographical / Historical

Diana Friedberg was born in South Africa. She began a film career after graduating from the University of Cape Town in 1967. She is the first woman to direct a feature film in South Africa and has edited and produced numerous films and TV shows. Her credits include "Die Spook van Donkergat" (1973) "World on a String" (2007), and "Max Steiner: Maestro of Movie Music" (2019).

Biographical / Historical

Johnny Green was born October 10, 1908, in New York City. He received a degree from Harvard in 1928, and began work as a songwriter and orchestra leader in the 1920s and 1930s. Beginning in 1942, he worked as a music director for multiple motion picture studios in Hollywood and wrote for radio and television as well. Green won various Academy Awards for his work. He died in Beverly Hills, California, on May 15, 1989.
