Scope and Contents

Recording on audiocassette of an interview with Paul F. Henkel, conducted by Ben Bahlmann on June 18, 1999 in Bountiful, Utah. Jenkel talks about serving with the United States Army in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska and about his transfer to the Army Air Corps. He became a pilot and flew B-17 bombers over Germany and other areas of Germany starting in November of 1944.

Biographical / Historical

Paul F. Jenkel served in the United States Army in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, then transferred to the Army Air Corps where he flew B-17 bombers over Germany starting in 1944 during World War II.
