General

This is a long original poem written by Sarah on the coming marriage of Mary, Hyrum’s daughter which was to take place September 21, 1915. Mary was 22 and would marry Edwin Cottrell Cook. I believe it represents Sarah’s feelings at the time regarding her own marriage. At this point George had been dead for seven years and Sarah was 61.
