Materials include correspondence, postcards, journals, and ephemera from Anna E. Stark. Most of these materials are personal correspondence with friends and family, but there are also materials relating to Anna Elizabeth Stark's career as a teacher and supervisor. There are also materials relating to her involvement with the Business and Professional Women's Foundation (BPW). Materials dated 1912-1984.

Biographical / Historical

Anna Elizabeth Stark (1897-1989) was a teacher and school supervisor in Utah.

Anna Elizabeth Stark was born November 30, 1897 in Mammoth, Utah to Moroni Pedersen Stark and Sarah Christina Hanson Stark. She graduated with a normal teaching certificate and a degree in education administration from Brigham Young University. She taught elementary school in Nebo School district for 6 years, directed teacher training at Weber College for 10 years, and then worked as an elementary district supervisor until she retired in 1964. Anna Elizabeth Stark was also a prominent member of the Business and Professional Women organization (BPW). She served as the BPW president for the state of Utah in the early 1960s. Anna Elizabeth Stark died December 20, 1989 in Leland, Utah.
