Contains two posters dealing with library rules and ethics, seven bookmarks containing the "7 deadly sins of book care", and a book bag from the School of Library and Information Sciences. Also includes a sequence of oversize publicity posters advertising the Library and Information Science degree. Dated between 1980 and 1993.

Administrative History

The School of Library and Information Sciences (1976-1993) was a graduate program at Brigham Young University.

The School of Library and Information Sciences was established by Brigham Young University in 1976. Organized with the intent to better train librarians for the university, the school educated students so that they could use their abilities for better efficiency areas such as learning resource centers, instructional media centers, libraries, and information centers. In 1993, the school was closed by the university.
