Biographical / Historical
The Ernest L. Wilkinson Student Center (est. 1964) functions as the main student activity center on the Brigham Young University campus and houses several campus organization offices, food service facilities, and the Brigham Young University bookstore.
Directors of the Ernest L. Wilkinson Student Center include Lyle Curtis (1964-1979), F. Curtis Wynder (1976-1978), Robert H. Moss (1978-1986) and Jerry Bishop (1996-2002). Up until 2002, the director of the Wilkinson Center was responsible to the Dean of Students for the Student Activity Program and Central Scheduling, and to the vice-president of business affairs for the operation of the Center. In 2002, the Dean of Students assumed the role as Director of the Wilkinson Center.

Lyle Curtis was Director of the Wilkinson Center at Brigham Young University from 1960 until his death in 1978. The responsibilities of director thereafter were assumed by Robert Moss, A.C. Eitner, and F. Curtis Wynder.
Biographical / Historical
Robert H. Moss was born March 3, 1934, in Santa Clara, Utah to Clarence Moss and Olive Hafen Moss. He married Roberta Renner, with whom he later served three missions to Martin’s Cove for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Robert served in the United States military, including the Utah National Guard, for 34 years. He was the author of several historical fiction novels. He graduated from Dixie College, Southern Utah State College, and Brigham Young University, where he received a doctorate in school administration and helped direct the Wilkinson Center. Robert worked as a professor at the University of Northern Colorado and Southern Utah State College. He passed away on November 18, 2021.
