Institutional Assessment and Analysis (2001-) is a Brigham Young University data collection and consultation service for university leaders.

Institutional Assessment and Analysis was established in 2001, taking various functions previously assigned to the Office of Institutional Analysis and Data Administration and the Office of Assessment. The office works to help BYU leaders identify and address gaps in statistics through data collection and consultation. Institutional Assessment and Analysis functions under the supervision of the Office of Planning and Assessment, and director Danny Olsen.

Institutional Assessment and Planning is tasked with encouraging and promoting a culture of assessment that is embraced by the entire BYU community and includes faculty, staff, administration, and students. The primary purpose behind assessment and planning is to assure institutional fidelity with purpose, practice, and performance. Institutional Assesment & Planning is a part of the Organization of Planning & Assessment. It was formerly known as Institutional Studies and prior to that was Institutional Research. Institutional Research was established during the presidency of Ernest L. Wilkinson.
