Biographical History

Glen L. Rudd (born 1918) was a Mormon ecclesiastical leader in Utah.

Glen Larkin Rudd was born on May 18, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles and Gladys Harman Rudd. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to New Zealand in 1938. After his return, Rudd married Marva Sperry and attended the University of Utah. He started a poultry business and at the age of 25 he was called as bishop of his local ward, where he became involved in welfare issues. Then in 1953 he was called to serve as manager of Welfare Square in Salt Lake City. He later served as a mission president for the Church in Florida, New Zealand, and Texas; he also served as a temple president in New Zealand. In 1987 he became a member of the First Quorum of Seventy, serving as a general authority until 1992.
