Administrative History

Tau Sigma (circa 1915-1990) was a fraternity and social club at Brigham Young University.

Tau Sigma was a fraternity established at Brigham Young University in 1915 and dissolved in the early 1990s. Originally, the fraternity was almost exclusively comprised of student athletes; however, in later years the fraternity came to represent the broader student body. The fraternity briefly changed its name to Tausig during the later 1920s. Eventually all Brigham Young University fraternities and sororities were banned on campus grounds, forcing them to be established as off-campus clubs leading to the demise of Tau Sigma.
