Paul Hyer (born 1926) is a history professor in Utah.

Paul Hyer is a professor of Asian history at Brigham Young University and the first coordinator of Asian Studies. He has traveled extensively through China and has devoted his academic life to the study of China and Mongolia.

Sechin Jagchid (born 1914) was a history professor in China and Utah.

Sechin Jagchid was born and raised in Mongolia. He was educated at the University of Peking and has taught history at the National Taiwan University, National Cheng-Chi University and Brigham Young University.
