Contains materials for training missionaries to teach in the Japanese language.

The 2015 accession includes assorted textbooks (Book of Mormon Stories for Beginning Readers, Japanese for Missionaries, Japanese: the Spoken Language, LDS hymnbook (selections), Stake Mission Handbook, Pronunciation Plus, triple combination Book of Mormon, and Ready Conjugator of Japanese Verbs & Adjectives), as well as stroke order practice cards and blanks, checks, files for TRC actors (shared file), and 26 T.A.L.L. disks. Materials dated 1967-2017.

From the Collection:

The Missionary Training Center (1978-) in Provo, Utah, trains missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before they depart to their specific assignments around the world.

The Missionary Training Center began operation in 1978 to replace the Language Training Mission. The campus can house up to 4,000 missionaries at a time. Approximately fifty languages are taught at the MTC by staff composed mostly of returned missionaries.
