Administrative History
When it was first developed, the Department of Sociology was a part of the College of Social Sciences, now the College of Family, Home, and Social Sciences. In 1961 the Department of Sociology was renamed the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Today it is again known as the Department of Sociology.
