Materials contain a memoir and photographs of Ronald D. Ellingson regarding his service in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Rutland (APA 192) and at the Naval Electronics School. Memoir discusses being attacked at Okinawa by Kamikaze aircraft, seeing war devastation in Manila, and his brief participation in the Occupation of Japan. Includes two photocopied photographs of Ellingson and the U.S.S. Rutland. Dated 1946, approximately 2000.
