Many of the business signs can be read including Martin's Restaurant, What Cheer House, and the New Chicago House offering rooms for a dollar a week. Smoke can be seen at the end of the street.

This is a view of a downhill street that is destroyed by buckling. Trolley tracks are seen, and piles of bricks are on the right. The left side of the street appears to be undamaged, but the right side is all crumbled. There are large homes and telephone poles lining the street. A few people with their belongings are walking up the street. A sign on the side of the street is advertising "Lots all sizes for sale; cheap lots for sale".
