This project is a collection of thirteen stories of a local legend called "land's end light". It is based on an assumed ghost that walks the beaches of Beaufort, South Carolina with a lantern that is often seen at night. The analysis gives the historical context of the ghost stories and comments on different embellishments and versions, noting the conservative and dynamic elements of the story-telling.
