Cultural function of Rogue River stories in Orange Torpedo Trips, Inc. / Jefferson D. Slagle, 1998
Slagle collected folklore surrounding the company Orange Torpedo Trips, Inc. on the Rogue River. Included are stories about employee traditions, a trainee vomiting on a training run, and a woman who fell out of a boat on a wave and had her bikini bottoms sucked off in the turbulent water. The project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1998.
