Handwritten diaries and poems. These journals were kept from 1885 to 1928 when Booth was in Alpine, Utah, at the Brigham Young Academy in Provo, Utah, and in Turkey and Armenia as a missionary and as mission president.

Includes poems, stories, life and work (mostly black smithing and farm work) in Alpine, Utah and learning blacksmith trade in Cache County, Utah. Entries date from July 1, 1885 to October 31, 1886.

Describes his work and school in Alpine, and being a student at Brigham Young Academy. Entries date from between November 1, 1886 and May 27, 1889.

Contains a phrenological Chart pasted on back cover. Describes his working in Alpine and Summit County, Utah; selling books in Sanpete County, Utah; marriage, student at Brigham Young Academy, teaching school in Alpine and Pleasant View. Entries date from between May 28, 1889 and March 31, 1895.
