Scope and Contents

This series contains the personal materials of Otto Duke, including personal research and reading, political papers and diagrams, personal photos, sheets from a pocket notebook, invitations, business cards, name tags, travel information, newspapers (Utah, Alaska, Oklahoma), pamphlets, and miscellaneous other materials. They are dated from 1920 to 1975.

Includes diagrams and materials dealing with projects for the United states Smelting, Refining and Mining Company from 1924 to 1958, especially those in Alaska, Chicago, Torrence, CA, and Midvale, UT. Some of these projects include asphalt, turbine generators, tail sluice, dredge data, conveyors, a lead refinery, a zinc plant, and a crushing plant.
