Scope and Contents
Collection consists of approximately 5,500 proof sheets and 17,800 negatives of photographs taken by the Daily Herald Newspaper Staff of Provo, Utah, generally between the years of 1983 to 1993. Images depict a wide array of subjects pertaining to Utah's regional news, particularly in Provo and Utah Valley. Many of these focus on local sports teams and competitions.

Biographical History
The Daily Herald was originally established in Provo, Utah in 1898 as the Utah County Democrat. It settled on the name Daily Herald in 1939.
