Biographical History

Grace Alida Hermine Vlam (b. 1930) taught Art and Architectural History at the University of Utah.

Grace Alida Hermine Vlam was born in the Netherlands. She received a BA from BYU, 1954, MA from the University of Utah, 1960, and a PhD in Art History from the University of Michigan, 1976. She traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Japan, Indonesia, and the Americas, for "hands-on" experience with art and architecture. Vlam taught Art and Architectural History at the University of Utah. She retired as an Assistant Professor of History of Art and Humanities.
