Contains three photographs of the Brigham Young University campus taken by Russell O. Hardy. Two of the photographs are of the original Joseph Smith Building and the other photograph is of a dormitory in Wymount Village. Dated 1947.

Biographical History

Russell O. Hardy (born 1925) was a student at Brigham Young University.

Russell Orwin Hardy was born on September 21, 1925 in Minersville, Utah to Arthur Orwin Hardy and Emma Elizabeth Davis. He attended school at Gunnison, Utah, and later attended the University of Idaho and the University of California. He enlisted in the military in 1943 and served in World War II. After the war he attended Brigham Young University, and graduated in 1948. In 1951 he married Mina Rae Stewart (1931-2011) in the St. George Temple, and they had two children. They later lived in Kansas and Utah before retiring to Henderson, Nevada in 1990.

Donated to the University Archives in May 2013 by Russell O. Hardy. Hardy took the photographs when he was a student at Brigham Young University in 1947.
