Administrative History

TICCIT (Time-shared, Interactive, Computer-Controlled Information Television) was first developed as an interactive cable television system by the MITRE Corporation in 1968. MITRE, together with the University of Texas and the Instructional Research and Development Department of Brigham Young University, refined the system and created courseware for a program to teach college-level English and algebra courses.
