This collection is the Harold B. Lee Library Administrative Council's Proposal for a School of Library and Information Sciences.
Conditions Governing Access
Restricted. Closed for 50 years from the date of creation of the records, and thereafter open to the public in accordance with the L. Tom Perry Special Collections Restriction Policy. Requests to access restricted materials in the University Archives should be submitted to the University Archivist.

Biographical / Historical
Brigham Young University's School of Library and Information Sciences closed in 1993. Responding to a request from the administration, the Harold B. Lee Library Administrative Council wrote this report in 1999 concerning the importance and feasibility of re-opening the School.
