Biographical History

Steve Foster Gilliland (1939- ) worked for the Church Education System and was involved in Church family history research.69

Steve Foster Gilliland was born on August 12, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to parents James Oscar Gilliland and Bessie Ellen Foster. He married Judy Kaye Morrison on December 18, 1964 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Gilliland attended Brigham Young University, where he submitted and published his Master's Thesis in 1966, titled A Study of Moral Development in Mormon Culture. Foster worked for the Church Education System and was involved in researching family histories of Latter-day Saints who settled throughout the West.
