Collection of Civil War photographs
Scope and Contents
Collection contains eighty-one images of people and soldiers from the era of the American Civil War. Includes engravings of Union and Confederate leaders. Many of the photographs of soldiers in the 77th Regiment, New York Infantry. Also includes copy prints of the original images.

Open for public research. Item kept in cold storage; access requires 24 hours advance notice.

It is the responsibility of the researcher to obtain any necessary copyright clearances. Permission to publish material from Collection of Civil War photographs must be obtained from the Supervisor of Reference Services and/or the L. Tom Perry Special Collections Board of Curators.
Album of photographs deposited by Kathleen Preiss in 1988. Photographs subsequently removed from the album, and copy photographs created by the repository.
