Jules Stein biographies
Scope and Contents
Three biographies of Stein written by unknown authors. They are entitled "Jules Stein: Biography," "The Jules Stein Story," and "Jules Stein." Stein was a musician, physician, and businessman. He was involved in entertainment and founded the Music Corporation of America (MCA) in 1924 which became the parent company of Universal Pictures, Universal Television, MCA Records, and MCA-TV. He served as the president of MCA until 1946 when he became Chairman of the Board. He held that position until 1973.
Stein was also active in trying to prevent blindness and served as the chairman of Research to Prevent Blindness, Inc.
