Biographical / Historical

Sarah Mason Burraston Johnson was born in May 1808 in Linton, Herefordshire, England to Anthony and Esther Vaughn Mason. Her first husband was William Burraston with whom she had 6 children, including Richard James Burraston, born 24 July 1841. After Williams's death at age 31, she married Richard Johnson. Having already joined the LDS Church, they immigrated to Utah in 1855. Sarah died after a riding accident on 8 September 1882. Richard James Burraston died in Springville, Utah on 1 June 1926.
