Biographical / Historical
James Rice, Sr., was born 20 November 1760. On 18 May 1784, he married Elizabeth Mars, with whom he had 10 children. He served in the Revolutionary War from the state of New Jersey. The family later lived in Seneca County, New York. James Rice, Sr., died 13 June 1827.
