Biographical History

Albert J. Kubeldzis (1897-1930) was a stenographer and legislative clerk in Washington, D.C.

Albert Joseph Kubeldzis was born on September 14, 1897 in Pennsylvania to Anthony and Agnes Kubeldzis. His parents were Jewish immigrants from Poland and Germany, and he was raised with his family in the area of Minersville. With the arrival of World War I, Kubeldzis joined the U.S. Army Engineers, serving from 1917 to 1919. After the war he settled in Washington, D.C., where he worked as a clerk in the War Department, a stenographer for a railroad company, and as a legislative clerk to William Henry King of Utah. Kubeldzis died in 1930, and was buried in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
