Grammar of the Absaroki or Crow Indian language
Scope and Contents
Photocopy of a handwritten grammar. It was written "by a missionary of the Society of Jesus." Also included is a photocopy of a printed book in seventeen pages. The title of this item is Prayers in the Crow Indian Language. It was "composed by the missionaries of the Society of Jesus." Apparently, these books were used as missionary tools for the Jesuits in working with the Crow Indians.
