Custodial History note

The contents of this collection were donated to the L. Tom Perry Special Collections Library at Brigham Young University on 17 June, 1987 by Marcia Carpenter. She received the Manti Library Association volume from her mother following the death of her father in March 1982. Her father's name was Elmer C. Tuttle, and the volume had been given to him by his grandfather, Luther T. Tuttle, whose name appears in the record.

The minutes of the Association begin 29 February 1868 and continue through 24 February 1877. The volume contains a list of individuals who donated to the library and who used the volumes it possessed. A rough count suggests that there were 155 volumes in the library.
