M. LaRue Sneff papers
Scope and Contents note
Collection contains programs, memorabilia, photographs, correspondence and other materials from Sneff's missionary service in London, England from 1986 to 1988. It includes documentation of her work organizing the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the British Isles. Collection also includes Christmas cards and thank you letters from various General Authorities to Sneff. Materials date from between 1957 and 2000.

Biographical History
M. LaRue Sneff (1917-2004) was a Mormon church secretary and youth leader in Utah.
Mary LaRue Sneff was born March 23, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charlotte Priscilla Elkins Sneff and George Leo Sneff. From 1947–1948 she served a mission to California for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also served on the Board of the Young Women's Mutual Improvement Association from 1960 to 1961. Over the course of her career she worked for the Sweet Candy Company and the Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph Company (Mountain Bell). She also worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a secretary to Joseph Anderson, Stephen L. Richards, and N. Eldon Tanner. Sneff retired in 1983, and from 1985 to 1987 she served as a missionary in England. During her mission she helped coordinate activities for the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the British Isles. LaRue Sneff died on August 31, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
