Scope and Contents

Journal detailing Haws' travels and work for the LDS church in St. Paul, Minnesota, including the cities of Minneapolis, MN; Albert Lea, MN; Wabasha, MN; Winona, MN; St. Paul, MN; Lake City, MN; Preston, MN; Glencoe, MN; Caledonia, MN; LaCrosse, WI; Manti, UT; Provo, UT; and Vernal, UT. Includes three patriarchal blessings at the end of the volume, one for Haws and two for his children. The first given by Zebridee Cotrin in Provo, Utah in 1884; the second blessing was given by Nelson Mercley in Vernal, Utah in 1890 to Sarah Ann Haws; the third was given by Pariarch J. Hathen Carpenter in 1929 on Lucy Eleanor Haws. Intoduction contains missionary journal, patriarchal blessings, and family genealogy. Page 1-246 Missionary Journal; pages 247-251 Patriarchal blessing given in 1929; pages 252-255 Patriarchal blessing given in 1917; pages 256-269 blank; pages 270-273 Patriarchal blessing given in 1889; Patriarchal blessing given in 1884; page 274 Haws family including marriage to Sara Ann Standing and their ten children.

Scope and Contents

Two additional entries recorded. A patriarchal blessing on Lucy Eleanor Haws, daughter of Albert Alonzo Haws, on October 27, 1929; and another patriarchal blessing given to William Alvin Haws, son of Albert alonzo Haws, on September 18, 1917. it is not indicated who recorded these entries, but the handwriting and later date indicate that it was most likely not Albert Alonzo Haws.
