Scope and Contents

Typewritten copy of an autobiography. McIntyre served in the British Army in Spain and France during the Napoleonic Wars. He was also sent to the United States to fight Americans in 1815. After the war, he returned to Scotland. He later heard Mormon missionaries preach and was converted to their faith around the year 1841. He served as a missionary for the Mormon Church in Great Britain, migrated to Utah in 1853, and settled in Tooele, Utah in 1853. The record was completed by one of McIntyre's children, who wrote that he died in 1872.
