Scope and Contents note

Oral histories of Willard Richards Smith and Florence Grant Smith, transcribed by Kathleen Hughes. Collection includes seven audio cassettes and an accompanying container list, an edited transcript, an original transcript, a final version complete with table of contents and footnotes, a final, bound transcript, and a page of genealogical information on Willard and Florence. The tapes were recorded from reels recorded between 1963 to 1971, and the transcripts were edited and bound in 1993 by Willard C. Smith.

Biographical History

Willard Richards Smith was born November 20, 1884 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph Fielding Smith and Sarah Ellen Richards. He and his wife Florence had six children. Willard died September 11, 1972 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Biographical History

Florence Grant Smith was born February 7, 1888 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Heber Jeddie Grant and Lucy Stringham. She married Willard Richards Smith February 3, 1910 in Salt Lake City. Florence died March 6, 1977 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
