 File — Folder: 1
Identifier: MSS SC 873

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of biographies of Henrie family members, correspondence of Myra Mayall Henrie (d.1893), a Henrie family bulletin (June 1959), four photographs of Henrie family members, and biographies of Robert (1823- ), and Elizabeth Johnston (1825- ) by Alice J. Nielson. Nielson also wrote the biography of Amanda Bradley Henrie (1829-1903). The Myra Henrie correspondence deals with family matters and was written between 1868 and 1879.

All the subjects of these biographies lived in Manti, Utah. These histories tell much about that town in the 19th century and about such matters as relations with the Ute Indians.
