Collection consists of Snow's mission journal he kept while in the Southern States mission. The journal spans from 18 March 1887 to 14 December 1887. Snow titled this journal "Journal B", meaning it is probably the second journal kept by Snow while he was a missionary in the Southern States. The collection also includes a photocopy of the journal for further research.

Biographical History
Edward H. Snow (1865-1932) was an ecclesiastical leader, politician, and educator in Utah. He played a significant role in the founding of Southern Utah University.
Edward Hunter Snow was the son of Mormon apostle Erastus Snow. He attended Brigham Young Academy, and after the conclusion of his education he served a mission to the Southern States starting in the year 1886. Thirteen years later, in 1899, Snow was assigned to the Eastern States mission, where he served for a time as president. Snow dedicated his life to education, playing a large role in the founding of Southern Utah University. Politically, Snow served in the State Legislature for a brief period in 1898. During the last year of his life, Snow served as an appointed chairman and member of the Utah State Tax Commission in 1931. He also served as a stake president and was later called to be a temple president.
