Oral history interview with Wilbur Laws on 11 July 1972, conducted by Deborah Ann Fellbaum for the Utah State Historical Society and California State University, Fullerton Oral History Program. The subject is life in Blanding, Utah. Wilbur also relates his parent's experiences in the Mormon colonies of Mexico and his interaction with the Native Americans of the area.

Biographical History

Wilbur "Wib" Laws was born 2 July 1915 in Star Ranch, Juab, Utah to Wilford Derby and Mary Frances Peterson Laws. His family moved to Blanding, Utah, when Wilbur was 10 months old. He married Wanda Hurst 12 August 1939 in Blanding, San Juan, Utah. They had ten children. Wilbur died 18 February 1987 in Monticello, San Juan, Utah.
