Business records of Charles E. Street from his various mining companies including: White Cliff Mining Company, Silver Dipping Mining Company, Hampton Mining Company, Ely Gibraltar Mining Company, Mono-Kearsarge Mining Company, Pacific Investment Company, Golden Age Mines, Inc., and Daily Metal Mines, Inc. Records include correspondence, mining maps, receipts, cash books, ledger books, certificates, newspaper clippings, telegrams, and other business and legal papers. Collection spans from circa 1880 until 1965.

Biographical History
Charles E. Street (1859-1951) was an owner, president, and manager of a number of mining companies.
Charles E. Street was born 25 June 1859, in Ottuma, Iowa, to John L. and Ann Eliza Inskep Street. His father was Park City postmaster and a member of the Salt Lake bar. He came from a long line of solid Virginia ancestry,
where his ancestors had been for 150 years. He married Agnes R. Gillespie and they had five daughters.
Charles Street was an owner, president and manager of Hampton Mining Co., Ely Gibraltar Mining Co., and a lead mine in McGill in Nevada - one that opened shortly before his death. He never stopped working and at age 90 was quoted for saying, I am not retired and I never will be.
He was a member of the Utah Lodge No. 1, International Order of Odd Fellows for over 67 years, giving him the longest membership. He also wrote a comprehensive study of the Park City mining district and worked as a correspondent for The Tribune and the Park City Record. He died 8 June 1951 in Salt Lake City.
