Scope and Contents

Typescript of an interview conducted by Martin F. Peterson on 18 March 1985 for Hillam's War Project. Also included is the reel-to-reel audiotape from which the item was transcribed. Baldwin talks about his combat missions in Korea and Vietnam. He was on 103 combat missions in the Korean War before he was given leave in Japan. Baldwin talks about his career and about how his faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helped him during his military service.

Biographical note

Baldwin was a colonel in the United States Air Force at the time of the interview. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
